While still in development, one aspect of creativity education for our youth that we believe to be vitally important is in helping our teachers (both for art and non-art disciplines) teach creatively. Beginning in 2011 with Katherine Devine’s Creative Education: Techniques for Teachers, the center will offer occasional workshops designed for teachers. Like the 2011 offering, these classes will not only help teachers of various disciplines extend their teaching methods, but will also count for up to 20 certification re-accreditation points.

Future Teacher In-Services are planned as a way of bringing creativity training directly to Floyd’s public schools.
