Donations
The Jacksonville Center for the Arts is in need of your support to continue our programs and services and develop new ones. The Jacksonville Center receives federal and state funding to start up projects but that funding alone is insufficient to accomplish our goals. We rely heavily on the community to sustain and strengthen our operations.

The Jacksonville Center is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization and donations are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. The center also welcomes in-kind donations. Currently we are in need of art-related books to establish a library for local artists.

Membership
The Jacksonville Center is a membership non-profit organization. Membership dues help support the center but also provide benefits. Scroll down for dues structure.

Benefits to members include a discount for all educational programming produced by the center. (Please note that some programming may occur at the center but not be produced by the center.)

Members also receive a discount on all purchases at the Center (excluding items for sale from tenant studios).

Members are eligible to place artwork and crafts for sale inside the retail shop, and members receive a discount on gallery exhibit application fees.

Other benefits to members include a discount on facility use rentals and voting rights in the annual elections to seat the members of the board of directors. (Members also periodically vote on such issues such as changes to the organizational by-laws). Members also receive priority notice for special programs and services that need to be limited in size.

The membership categories and annual dues for each are:

Individual membership $35
Family/business membership $50
Student membership $20
Working Membership (Requires ten hours of volunteer service, fifteen hours for families, these hours need to be completed before benefits are given)

Why be a volunteer at the Jacksonville Center?

Because it’s an active community arts and education center that’s full of creative energy and requires the volunteer efforts of interested people. We have many areas in which volunteers are needed – office assistance; hospitality for special events; daily meeting and greeting visitors; helping with some maintenance chores to name just a few. Each volunteer offers a unique and valuable addition to the work we are able to do at the Jacksonville Center.
