In support of the community’s efforts to promote the the arts, The Jacksonville Center occasionally hosts a variety of free or specially-priced activities. This year these include:

The Floyd Quilter’s Guild

1st & 3rd Mondays of each month

Membership is open/Annual dues $15.00

This organization establishes a framework within which experienced and beginning quilters may learn from one another, sharing techniques and quilting advances; and to foster within  the community an awareness of quilting as both a historical and a living creative contribution to our lives as a community.

Floyd Glass Artist’s Club

Club meets monthly – second Sunday of the month normally

This group provides access the glass studio during club sessions and gives amateur glass artists the chance to work with an experienced glass artist, Lara Davis, who facilitates studio sessions.

  • $25  for one  session

Sessions are limited to 5 students. Reservations are recommended.

Fine HeArts, Senior Arts Group

Meets every other Thursday from 10am-12pm – Click Here for the calendar to confirm dates.

This group is free to join.  It is lead by volunteers and is self-lead by the group participants.  Please call The Jax to find out what materials you should bring when you plan to join the group.

FAD – Floyd Artist Dialogue

Meets about once a month on a Friday to discuss the arts.  Always starts at noon and is free and open to the public.  Bring a lunch if you wish.  Current topics are typically announced in the blog or on our calendar.
