The Jacksonville Center for the Arts in Floyd, Virginia, welcomes the artistic and the artistically challenged to come and explore their creativity in a variety of media from blacksmithing and ceramics, to fiber arts, painting and even upcycling old books and tin-cans!

Groupon participants will have 1 year to register for one of the following blacksmihing classes:

2-day weekend classes OnDemand. For these classes you MUST call the Jax with your Groupon Voucher number to get on the call-list for the class. As soon as we have the minimum number of students needed to make the class go, we will work with you and the instructor to schedule the class.

All of the above OnDemand classes will run Sat-Sun, 9am-5pm.

3-day classes:

The Steel Menagerie: Dragons, Tigers and Bears, oh My!, Fri-Sun, June 22-24, 9am-5pm
Fundamentals at the Forge, Weds-Fri, July 4-6, 9am-5pm

5-day, weeklong intensive course:

Forge for Home: Blacksmithing Kitchenware, Mon-Fri, June 4-8, 9am-5pm

Class tuition does not include lodging or food. Please visit our “Visit Us” pages for information on local accomodations and be sure to let them know that you are taking a class with us when you make your reservation–Jax student usually receive a 5-10% discount on local lodging (depending on seasonal availability).

As a reminder, we recommend registering as early as possible, as those classes that are already scheduled will fill up fast, and participants must get their names on our on-demand call list before we can schedule the on-demand option.
