framesFREE Framing Workshops

with David St. Lawrence

This 2 hour workshop will be scheduled on-demand. Please call or email the center to get your name on our call-list.

Join David St. Lawrence as he shares his experience and artful approach to framing in this free presentation and discussion. Learn techniques for attractive, affordable, do-it-yourself framing. How do you choose the color of matting? What kinds of frames will compliment, rather than detract from your painting or photograph and the effect you want to present? Participants may bring artwork for framing ideas.

This is an informational workshop—participants interested in applying the techniques discussed in the workshop will have the opportunity to sign up for individual and small-group private lessons.

Advance registration will help us to plan for the event. Call or stop by the center to reserve your place.

Polymer Clay Guild

The guild meets on the 2nd Saturday of every month from 1-4 PM at the center.
Visit once without feeling obligated to join.
Once you’re ready, though, dues are only $15 a year for members of The Jacksonville Center and $25 per year for non-members!

  • The #1 rule of the Polymer Clay Guild is: Have Fun! Sharing, learning and being a member of this community
  • Don’t let a lack of tools or materials keep your from joining. While bringing your own clay is a good idea, we’re good tool sharers. For only $3 and advanced notice, I’ll even provide you with a work station for the day!
  • We often have demos but no one has to be monkey-see, monkey-do. Bring your own projects to work on during that time, if you’d like.
  • You’re welcome to bring work for our show-and-tell table, anything that inspires you or a piece of work that you’re particularly proud of or would like feedback on.
