At The Jacksonville Center for the Arts we see education as the active preservation and expansion of the heart and soul of our community. Therefore, we strive to create renewing and inspiring creative learning experiences for all in an intimate environment that sustains creative culture, community and individual growth. Our educational experiences connect individuals with one another, the creative community, and the creative spark that enriches and invigorates.
Our education program consists of two basic mechanisms for educational experiences: on-site classes and events, and our Floyd Art Reach (FAR) program, in partnership with local schools, teachers, and parents.
Instructors at The Jacksonville Center for the Arts are enthusiastic about sharing their love of the creative spirit and the renewal of local and regional culture through a variety of educational programs for young people and adults alike.
Similarly, our students come from a variety of regions, backgrounds and skill levels to experience creativity in the unique educational setting afforded by the center and the surrounding community.
Join us in igniting the creative spark within and around you!
