Lora Leigh was raised in the Roanoke Valley of Southwest Virginia and earned her BA in Studio Art from Roanoke College in Salem, VA. Following 15 years of immersed mothering, she committed to establishing herself as a professional artist in 2003. She now exhibits her pastel paintings in nationally juried shows and festivals and has received numerous awards for her paintings.

Combining her passion for the creative process and children, she has also served as an Art Educator in Floyd and the Roanoke City Schools for the past twelve years.
