A long time resident of Floyd County, Kate Anderson has a BA with a major in Studio Art from Hollins University. Anderson has exhibited in many regional galleries and exhibitions and has won several awards for her printmaking. Beside her printmaking studio here at the Jacksonville Center, she has a gallery in downtown Floyd, Anderson Art Gallery.

Artist Statement

Printmaking is a process that requires technical expertise combined with artistic vision. This seductive power in printmaking allows me to follow my own instinctual and personal dialogue between my vision and ideas through the crafting of the print. Using multiple techniques in a single print allows greater experimentation with sometimes unexpected results.
