New River Community Action, Inc (NRCA)
Offices located inside North Entrance of The Jax
NRCA’s mission is to “promote and support the well-being and self-reliance of individuals, families and communities.”  Several NRCA programs are temporarily housed as the Jacksonville Center:  Floyd County Emergency Assistance Program and Food Pantry, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP), Children’s Health Improvement Partnership (CHIP) and Head Start Home Base Program.   NRCA staff can also facilitate access to other NRCA programs:  Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA), Homeless and Housing Programs, VA CARES, and Responsible Rides.
