Part-time Office Support (Compensation $7.25-$10.00)

Job Description: Support the front office for a growing non-profit, member-based organization, responsibilities included:

  • Greeting Visitors
  • Maintain database of members, donors, volunteers, artists and student interest, etc.
  • Experience with multiple phone lines
  • Support with mass mailings, individualized letters and email correspondence
  • Filing and/or distribution of office records including but not limited to gallery and gift shop inventory, donor and member records, facilities rentals, student registrations, volunteer information, etc.
  • Maintain front office computers and organizational documents on the computers. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and Internet searches is a must.
  • Assist with promotional efforts
  • Maintain current calendar of special events and facility bookings
  • Trouble shoot basic IT issues related to Internet connectivity, email and office productivity software, printers and other office equipment
  • Experience working with volunteers is preferred

Successful applicant will have:

  • Excellent Customer Service Skills
  • Experience with multiple phone lines
  • Experience with mail merge
  • Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel and internet searches.
  • Experience with printers and other office equipment
  • Experience working with volunteers
  • High School Graduate

Work Schedule:

  • Part-time/On-Call & Weekends (hours may vary during weekdays if needed)
  • Must be available to work special events. This may include evenings and/or offsite events

The Jacksonville Center’s mission is to showcase, educate, and facilitate to support artistic endeavors and rural creativity in our community and region. The Jacksonville Center is dedicated to the promotion of cooperation among area arts, tourist, education, and entertainment related agencies and events. In addition, the facility provides a community center for the use of residents and visitors.
